The hotel offers guests complimentary use of the facilities at the City Fitness Centre, which is three blocks from here. The Esplanade (100 metres) is suitable for walking/jogging. A tennis court is located within 2 km, while the Cairns Esplanade Swimming Lagoon (500 metres) has a 4,800-square-metre saltwater pool with sandy beaches and a dedicated children’s area. Conference/function room(s): There are two function rooms and a boardroom, which seats 12 and is located off the lobby. The two conference rooms are on the third level. The Sudbury Room (105 square metres) has a maximum capacity of 120 theatre style, while the Upolu Room (93 square metres) can hold up to 60 theatre style. Whiteboards, flip charts, overhead projectors and screens, note pads and pens, and public-address systems and microphones are all provided with compliments. Additional equipment can be hired through the hotel (prices on application). Mangrove Jack’s Restaurant and the terrace adjoining the restaurant can also be used for functions.

Driving directions from Cairns Domestic and International Airport (CNS): Exiting the airport, follow Airport Drive to the T intersection and turn left onto the Captain Cook Highway (which becomes Sheridan Street). Follow the signs to the city. Continue along Sheridan Street and turn left into Florence Street. Turn first right into Grafton Street. Follow for three blocks. The hotel is on left, on the corner with Spence Street.
