The reception desk is available during limited hours only. Guests intending to arrive outside the standard hours of operation must contact the hotel 48 hours prior to arrival in order to make alternate arrangements.

Cairns Queenslander Apartments has two outdoor swimming pools with unheated spa tubs attached.

The Esplanade (150 metres) is very popular for walking/jogging. A tennis court is located on The Esplanade, as is the Cairns Esplanade swimming lagoon which has a 4,800-square-metre saltwater pool with beaches, and a dedicated children’s area. The lagoon is surrounded by a large tropical park. Cairns has several aerobics/yoga studios. The nearest golf course is Cairns Golf Course (5 km).

Driving directions from Cairns Domestic and International Airport (CNS): Follow Airport Avenue until the T-intersection and turn left onto the Captain Cook Highway. Keep following the Captain Cook Highway (which turns into Sheridan Street). Continue along Sheridan Street and turn left into Lake Street. The hotel is on the corner of Lake and Charles Streets.

Diggers Bar and Restaurant - Designed in rich timber Colonial décor. Option of tropical alfresco-style dining in a private weatherproof courtyard. Open daily for breakfast and dinner. Choice of four breakfasts: light, Continental, Aussie hot, or full buffet. Dinner cuisine reflects the choice of fresh local produce. Signature dish is Roast Duck Penang.
