Recreation
In addition to its heated outdoor pool, the resort operates the Surfside Beach Club on a private beach on the Atlantic Ocean, less than a mile away. The hotel has bicycles for rent and offers a children's program for kids ages 5–12 from late May to mid-August. A lawn for croquet and bocce ball, a putting green, mini golf, nine miles of beach, geocaching, historic tours, the Georgia Sea Turtle and Waterpark are also located on the property.
Jekyll Island offers four challenging golf courses—three with 18 holes and one with 9. Indoor and outdoor tennis courts are also available. The island is environmentally protected, with 10 miles of beach and 20 miles of jogging and biking trails.
