The Mantra South Bank Brisbane comprises 161 studios and apartments located on floors 2–7. Studios are equipped with basic kitchens, and full kitchens are standard in the apartments. Work desks with data ports and high-speed Internet access (surcharge) are available in all guestrooms, as are plunger coffee makers, DVD players, and CD-stereo players. Newspapers and extra towels are available on request. Windows open on floors 4–7 only.

Recreation

The Mantra South Bank Brisbane has an outdoor, 20-metre heated pool and spa tub located on level two. On the same floor is the fitness centre with a good range of exercise machines (of which there are two or more of most). The fitness centre can be accessed via room swipe key.

South Bank Parklands is located across the road, overlooking the Brisbane River, and comprises 17 acres of gardens and lawns. Highlights include three playgrounds, 14 barbecues (free of charge), covered picnic tables, artificial beach and swimming lagoon, designated bicycle and skateboard areas, the Clem Jones Promenade (for cycling, walking and jogging), and a one-kilometre arbour-walkway covered with magenta bougainvillea plants.

Property Amenities

Unveiled in early 2006, the Mantra South Bank Brisbane is a smoke-free, all-apartment hotel occupying lobby level through to the seventh floor of a 12-floor apartment block. Private residences comprise the top four floors. A 20-metre, heated outdoor lap pool, spa tub, and fitness centre are located on level two. Several function spaces for groups of up to 70 guests are available for hire, and wireless Internet access is provided across public areas.

Internet access: Wireless Internet access is available in the public areas, such as the lobby, restaurant/bar, and function rooms. A wireless connection card may be purchased from the front desk for AU$0.55 per minute or AU$27.95 for a 24-hour period. Fees subject to change without notice.

Conference/function rooms: There are four function areas located on level one (mezzanine floor), comprising two function rooms and two breakout areas. Saville One is the largest enclosed function space, at 54 square metres, and holds up to 60 guests for cocktails. The Boardroom is the smallest area, encompassing 28 square metres and accommodating 12 guests. The open-plan pre-function area covers 38 square metres and is suitable for up to 30 guests for cocktails. The open-plan space on the Mezzanine level is slightly larger, at 53 square metres, and holds up to 70 guests for cocktails. These areas offer a large amount of natural light.

Business services: Basic business services such as photocopying and faxing can be handled by the front desk for a surcharge.

Driving directions from Brisbane International Airport (BNE): From Airport Drive, turn left onto the motorway and head towards the city centre. Veer left and turn right onto Links Avenue, then turn left onto Kingsford Smith Drive. Follow Breakfast Creek Road, then Ann Street, and get into the left lane for North Quay. Turn right into Victoria Bridge and follow Melbourne Street to Grey Street where the hotel is located.
