Renovation Notice
A soft refurbishment of public areas is currently taking place and will run until early 2007. This program includes painting and carpeting, minor repair work, and some new furnishings/furniture. It is envisaged that there will be minimal disruption to guests as the project will be conducted in stages. One floor at a time will be closed off and refurbished so that guests are not exposed to paint fumes and building noise.
Recreation
Directly opposite the hotel are Wickham Park and the 16-hectare Roma Street Parklands with playgrounds for children of all ages and self-guided walks (brochures outlining the various recommended routes are available from the Activity Centre). Within 1 km are the Spring Hill swimming baths and next door is a fitness centre that opens to casual visitors and offers a range of exercise equipment in addition to sports massage.

Property Amenities
The circular Metro Hotel Tower Mill is located on a slightly elevated position in Brisbane’s medical precinct of specialists’ consulting rooms, medical centres, and Brisbane Private (Holy Spirit) Hospital. All ground floor public areas, including the restaurant and bar, were refurbished in mid to late 2006. Guestrooms are located on levels 1–8. A coin-operated laundry (with dryer) is available on level 8. Please note that while there are limited parking spots available on site, there is plenty of nearby on-street parking (metered during business hours only), and a parking station behind the hotel.

Complimentary. Approximately 35 car spaces. Some covered and others uncovered.
The Metro Hotel Tower Mill provides wireless Internet access and one function space with break-out deck.
Internet access: Wireless Internet access is available on a complimentary basis across the ground floor lobby area, including the restaurant and bar.
Conference/function rooms: Two function areas (both 60 square metres) are available for hire on the ground floor. Refurbishment completed for November 2006. One function space is inside, and the other is a private break-out courtyard area with decking. The areas are available separately or can be hired for the one function.
Business services: Basic business services such as photocopying and faxing can be handled by the front desk for a surcharge.

Brisbane international and domestic airport (BNE): Approximate travel time is 25-30 minutes and distance is 16 km.
Getting there:The easiest routes from the airport to the Metro Hotel Tower Mill are by taxi, car, or shuttle bus. Please note the Airtrain is not recommended as the easiest mode of transfer. While Central Station is only 0.5 km away, the walk from the station to the hotel is uphill and can therefore be quite taxing during the warmer months. Car rentals are available online.

Directions (subject to change without notice): The hotel is on the corner of Wickham Terrace and Bartley Street, opposite Wickham Park. The driveway entrance and lobby are accessed via Wickham Terrace.

Driving direction from Brisbane International Airport (BNE): From Airport Drive, turn left onto the motorway and head towards the city centre. Veer left and turn right onto Links Avenue, then turn left onto Kingsford Smith Drive. Follow Breakfast Creek Road, and veer to the left where it becomes Ann Street. Stay on Ann Street and pass Centenary Place (park) and proceed past Cathedral Square (on the right). Travel 1 more block and turn right at the traffic lights into Creek Street which runs underneath Turbot Street. Continue to Wickham Terrace and then turn left. The hotel is approximately 300 metres on the right on the corner of Bartley Street. The driveway entrance and lobby are accessed via Wickham Terrace.
