Recreation

Summit County, where Breckenridge is located, offers numerous recreational activities. Besides skiing and snowboarding, winter sports include ballooning, sleigh rides, and snow tubing. Summer sports include hiking, biking, gold panning, ballooning, rafting, and mine tours. Golf is played at the Breckenridge Golf Course, a 27-hole Jack Nicklaus-designed municipal course; Keystone Ranch and The River Course at Keystone, approximately 7 miles east of Breckenridge; Copper Creek, a championship golf course at Copper Mountain; and The Raven Golf Course at Three Peaks in Silverthorne.

Activities at the Dillon Dam Recreation Area, 10 miles north of Breckenridge, include boating, sailing, camping, canoeing, fishing, and Nordic skiing.

Policies

Vail Resorts Lodging Company has partnered with the National Forest Foundation to support projects that improve and enhance the White River National Forest. As part of this initiative, a voluntary donation of $1 per room per night will automatically be added to the bill. The entire contribution will be forwarded to the National Forest Foundation. For every dollar contributed by guests, the National Forest Foundation will invest $1.50 in on-the-ground conservation.

If guests do not wish to make this contribution, they should let the front desk staff know and it will be removed from their bill immediately.

Park Avenue Pub - Dinner, drinks, appetizers, and late-night snacks are available at this bar, which is smoke-free but offers a smoking lounge next door. Pub bites include an antipasto plate, baked Brie, chicken wings, and Dove ice cream bars. The Maggie - Lunch and après ski meals—think burgers, fries, and beer—are served at this winter-only restaurant with ski-in/ski-out access to the Quicksilver Super6 chairlift. It has a large-screen television, and outdoor seating on sunny days.
