Location Details

Caticlan (MPH) and Kalibo (KLO): Approximate travel time is 2 hours from Kalibo airport, 30 minutes from Caticlan airport. The distance is 50 km (30 miles) to Kalibo and 3 km (2 miles) to Caticlan.

Getting there: Public air-conditioned buses meet all arriving flights at Kalibo, and offer convenient connections to the main jetty where short ferry trips leave for Boracay Island. Ticket prices usually include bus and ferry service to the island. Arriving flights at Caticlan are met with tricycles, three wheeled vehicles that offer transport to the jetty for boat service to Boracay. Rental cars are not recommended for travellers unfamiliar with this area. Car rentals are available online.

Upon arrival at the island, a porter will meet guests at the dock to take luggage.

Getting around: Tricycles, three-wheeled motorised vehicles that are common throughout the Philippines, are the best way to get around Boracay, where most of the roads are now paved. They are not metred and agreeing on the price before departure is essential to avoid misunderstandings. Always check with hotel reception regarding prices for specific distances.

Approximate travel time from the airport to the hotel: 2 hours from Kalibo. 30 minutes from Caticlan.
