Hotel Information: This year-round resort surrounded by mountains, meadows, and pines is popular with golfers, skiers, couples, groups, and those seeking a wide selection of activities. Many families return regularly for reunions and special events. Registration takes place at the Lodge, which opens to a grand central room with vaulted ceilings, classic lodge décor, views of Mt. Bachelor, and an impressive double-sided fireplace.
Amenity highlights: The resort has 37 miles of trails, three golf courses, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, and an extensive fitness center with indoor lap pool, steam rooms, and spa tubs. Additional amenities include three outdoor pools and a spa offering body treatments, massages, and salon services. An activities center provides supervised children’s programs. Complimentary, 24-hour, resort-wide transportation serves the nearby marina, nature center, observatory, and horse stables.
Insider tip: The resort is five miles from Lava River Cave. From mid-May to mid-October, visitors pay a small fee to walk through a 2.5-mile underground lava tube.

Rooms
The Sunriver Resort offers guestrooms in either the River Lodges building or in 23 two-story buildings in the Lodge Village. Lodge Village and River Lodges guestrooms have furnished balconies or patios, stone gas fireplaces, complimentary high-speed Internet access, and cable TV with pay movies. All are nonsmoking.
The 350 condominiums and townhouses are individually decorated and have 2–6 bedrooms; fireplaces; full kitchens with microwaves, refrigerators, and dishware; cable TV; stereos; furnished patios or balconies; and washer/dryers. All are nonsmoking. Note: A few condos do not have air conditioning.

Recreation
Fitness, pools, and spa
Fitness equipment includes a strength circuit, seven treadmills, five elliptical trainers, two stair machines, four upright and recumbent bikes, and a movement studio. Personal training sessions and group classes include water aerobics, Pilates, and yoga (surcharges apply.) Use of spa tubs and steam rooms in women’s and men’s locker rooms is complimentary.
Use of the indoor three-lane lap pool and the adjacent spa tub is complimentary (reservations required; children 14–17 must be accompanied by an adult age 21 or older). Three seasonal outdoor pools include one with a 50-foot water slide and an adjacent children’s pool.
Spa treatments include Swedish, deep tissue, aromatherapy, hot stone, and maternity massages; facials and body treatments such as an Oregon Hazelnut Scrub; nail care; waxing and makeup services (surcharges apply).
Golf and tennis
The three 18-hole championship golf courses were designed by acclaimed architects: Meadows Golf Course, designed by John Fought Meadows; Crosswater Golf Course, designed by Bob Cupp; and Woodlands Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Resort guests receive advanced tee times and discounted fees.
Tennis facilities include three indoor courts, five outdoor courts, and access to an additional 27 courts nearby (surcharges apply).
Snow sports, water sports, and more
In winter, Mt. Bachelor, 18 miles away, offers 3,700 acres for skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, tubing, and dog sledding. There are four terrain parks and an Olympic-sized superpipe. Summer activities at Mt. Bachelor include chairlifts to the 9,065-foot summit, interpretive tours, hiking, dining, and mountain climbing.
The resort has 37 miles of paved bike trails for walking, hiking, and bike riding (rollerblades are prohibited). The concierge desk has trail maps for off-road riding. Bike rentals are available.
Additional recreational activities and facilities at the resort include an observatory, a nature center, stables, and marina (surcharges apply). The marina offers canoe and kayak rentals, rafting trips, and fishing packages. The stables offer pony rides, trail rides, lessons, hay wagon and sleigh rides, and other activities.

Property Amenities
The 3,300-acre Sunriver Resort—surrounded by mountains, meadows, and pines—is located in Central Oregon, on the dry side of the Cascade Mountains. Bend’s restaurants, shops, and theaters are located 15 miles from the resort. Mt. Bachelor is 18 miles away.
The resort offers 35 miles of paved paths for walking and biking; its on-site bike barn has 400 rental bikes. Guests have exclusive access to the Crosswater Club for golfing and dining, and access to indoor and outdoor tennis courts (surcharges apply). Four pools includes one for children, and an indoor lap pool with adjacent spa tub. Resort guests receive advanced tee times for all three golf courses, discounts on resort-owned recreation, and complimentary 24-hour transportation throughout the resort. Additional recreation opportunities at the resort include a marina, a nature center and observatory, and a horse stable.
The health club and spa includes a fitness facility with a movement studio, strength circuit, and numerous cardio machines. Classes and personal training sessions are available (surcharge). The spa offers massages, body treatments, nail care, and salon services (surcharges).
A supervised children’s program (ages 3–10) is offered in an activities center with computer stations, a 42-inch flat-screen TV, and a 3,400 square-foot fenced outdoor play area with teepees and other structures (surcharges; reservations required). A separate building houses arcade games and craft tables for teens.
In addition to 47,000 square feet of conference and event facilities, the resort provides a concierge and a staffed business center with one workstation, one laptop station, and faxing, shipping, and copying services (surcharges). Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in the four restaurants, the lounge, and public areas of the Sunriver Lodge building.
