Hotel Information: Comprising privately owned condo-style villas and homes, this peaceful island resort seems far removed from the busy mainland. Vacationing families and wedding parties come here to relax and take advantage of the lovely scenery and numerous amenities. A 24-hour guard gate provides easy access for guests arriving after hours as well as those who have been exploring off-island.
Amenity highlights: On 3.5 miles of private beach, this island resort features a marina with fishing excursions and sunset cruises (surcharges), a 10-court racquet club, four pool areas, varied restaurants and bars, and organized activities (surcharges) for all ages. Acclaimed Ocean Point and Ocean Creek championship golf courses offer two superbly scenic layouts. Kayaks, golf carts, bicycles, and beach equipment rentals are available.
Insider tip: Approximately 23 miles from the resort is Beaufort, the second-oldest town in South Carolina. Discovered in 1514, this genteel Southern enclave is filled with stately homes, picturesque plantations, and historic forts. Horse-drawn carriage rides are available for touring the designated National Historic Landmark District.
Rooms
Individually owned and decorated condo-style villas offer views of the ocean or surrounding natural beauty. All include dining areas and fully equipped kitchens with full-size refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, dishwashers, coffee/tea makers, cookware, dishware, and utensils. Each villa has its own washer and dryer.
Villas have separate living rooms with sofas or sofa beds, dining areas, TVs, CD players, and either DVD players or VCRs. Telephones come with voice mail and complimentary on-island calls. Internet access may be dial-up, wireless, or high-speed (surcharges may apply).
Bed and bath linens are supplied, as is a start-up kit with dishwashing soap, bath soap, bathroom tissue, paper towels, and shampoo.
Housekeeping services are available for a surcharge.

On 3,000-acres, this Carolina Sea Island resort features 3.5 miles of private beach and a marina. Inhabiting the pristine natural surroundings are deer, alligators, porpoises, and approximately 175 bird species. Top-ranked Ocean Point and Ocean Creek golf courses each feature a panoramic layout and a clubhouse with pro shop. Guests receive preferred greens fees and priority tee times. Centrally located on the island is a racquet club with eight Fast-Dry clay courts and two hard courts (surcharges). Instructional programs include private and semi-private lessons (surcharges). Full-service Fripp Island Marina arranges fishing charters, fishing tournaments for adults and children, and sunset cruises (surcharges). Rentals available at the marina include golf carts, bicycles, and mopeds, in addition to kayaks (canoes) and Carolina skiffs for exploring the Lowcountry backwaters.
