Pets (other than seeing-eye dogs) are not permitted in the Cairns International Hotel. Under Queensland state laws, smoking is not permitted in restaurants and public areas.
Box and Irukandji jellyfish are prevalent in coastal areas of Far North Queensland, including Cairns, between the months of November and April, when swimming in the ocean is not advised. During this time, stinger nets are set up in some areas to provide safe swimming. Extra care is required at any time because of possible strong currents, rips, and saltwater crocodiles. Visitors should swim only at designated Life Saving patrol areas.
Due to heavy rain, the pool deck at the hotel has sustained damage and will be closed until further notice. Arrangements for guests to use the pool at the Sebel Harbour Lights have been made. Please contact the front desk or concierge for more details.
