Tall arched doors lead from the busy street to the high-ceilinged reception area and lobby with mezzanine. These areas have been restored to their 1850s appearance, with marble pillars and wrought-iron accents. Seating areas have soft sofas, armchairs, and glass coffee tables. Guests are mainly vacationers who appreciate the attractive location and creature comforts.

The exterior is from the 16th-century, while high-ceilinged public areas offer 19th-century appointments such as a stone staircase with wrought-iron banisters.
