Hotel Information: Set at the end of a ferry quay in the World Trade Center complex and preceded by fountains and a cable-car tower, the hotel is in a spectacular portside setting. The airy lobby, with marble floors, steel-colored pillars and a graceful spiral staircase to the first floor, is bright and welcoming. Sun-tanned tourists mix with local and foreign business people in the lobby and first floor coffee bar.
Amenity highlights: On the top floor guests work out in the hotel gym, which offers a range of exercise machinery and weights, as well as two saunas and a small jetted spa. From there they can wander outside onto the roof terrace to enjoy spectacular views of Barcelona, its ports and the open sea. On the south side is a small pool to splash about in, sun loungers and a bar (open summer only).
Insider tip: Local artists have left their mark. Josep Subirachs, who designed the Passion façade of the Sagrada Família church, has sculpted the word 'hotel' in Roman travertine marble by the first floor coffee bar, while artist Albert Ràfols Casamada painted the canvas, Aire de Mar (Sea Air) that hangs behind reception. The hotel stages an annual photography competition and adorns rooms with the best photos.
Rooms
The Eurostars Grand Marina, Barcelona, has 273 guestrooms, all lent warmth by the presence of timber, from the dark hardwood floors through to the contemporary cherry and pine wood furnishings. The tone is designed in the flavor of a luxury passenger ship cabin. Bed covers come in a limited variety of color schemes, from beige to blue. Many of the rooms have views, ranging from the spacious inner courtyard towards the World Trade Center to panoramic vistas of Barcelona. The best views are from those rooms on the northern wing across the port to the beach and open sea.

The Eurostars Grand Marina's top floor enjoys a combination of sunny gym (with a range of exercise machinery and weights, as well as two saunas and a small jetted spa) and roof terrace, which includes a little pool for a refreshing dip. The pool is open from early June through mid-September.
Guests can also get a drink at the bar and work on a tan on the sun lounges while taking in the spectacular views of Barcelona, its ports and the open sea.
The hotel has five conference rooms, three of which can be opened up to create a bigger meeting of banquet area that also opens out on to the courtyard behind the hotel and looking onto the other buildings of the World Trade Center. The hotel can also book space in the WTC's conference rooms. On the first floor patio is a cube-shaped structure used for small events. Inside is a square bar and guests spill out on to the patio in the warmer months.

Aire de Mar - Separated from the buffet breakfast area by a sliding door, the 'Sea Air' restaurant has an intimate and exclusive air about it. It seats a maximum of 35 people around elegantly laid out tables. As throughout the hotel, wood features prominently in the decor, with timber floors and cherry wood framed chairs with olive green upholstery. The chef prepares a mix of fish and meat dishes, varying according to the season. A further option is the gourmet set meal, with seven small dishes, that might include a serving of oyster with cream of cauliflower and Beluga caviar, duck breast with sauteed figs, and green tea biscuits with whipped lime cream and coconut sorbet.
