Hotel Information: Previously two palaces facing each other on adjacent corners, the hotel has some stunning architectural features, including the fairytale-like stone staircase, which rises above the main entrance and features intricate arches and columns. Corridors are paneled in fine sycamore and all public spaces have marble floors, ensuring the hotel is popular with discerning business travelers.
Amenity highlights: A roof terrace offers great views of the city and leads through to a solarium with a spa pool. There are six meeting rooms, the largest of which has a capacity for 350 people. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in all public areas and there is a secure car park (fee) with 22 spaces. The Thalassa restaurant provides fine Mediterranean cuisine with an emphasis on seafood.
Insider tip: The main building of the hotel is called Casa E Batlló and was built for a member of the same family for which Gaudi built Casa Batlló. Casa Batlló, with its wonderful mosaic façade, is located just two blocks down Passieg de Gracia. Casa Milá (La Pedrera), perhaps Gaudi’s greatest completed work, is just one block the other way.

Dining
Thalassa - The restaurant has an excellent reputation and can also be accessed directly from the street. It serves buffet breakfast for guests and an à la carte menu for lunch and dinner. The cuisine is Mediterranean with an emphasis on seafood, although the signature dish is the Dice Foie caramelized with Green Apple. The decor continues the sea motif with blue walls and seascape murals. The floor is Brazilian macalauga marble, characterized by its watery blue shades.
Condal Bar - The hotel’s piano bar has forest green armchairs, little green stools, scented candles and paneled walls. The bar is open all day and features a live pianist every evening.
