The Spa Athenee philosophy emphasizes the use of pure plant extracts and ancient treatments including massage, scrubs, masks, and baths, along with foot therapy and facials. Signature treatments include Black Glutinous Rice Scrub, Exotic Ginger Body Polish, and Milk and Honey Bath.

Athenee Retreat (130 minutes): THB4,300 (US$115+)
This signature treatment begins with a Foot Ritual, an acupressure-style foot massage, and is then followed by an Exotic Ginger Body Polish, using ginger to balance the body. The Exotic Ginger bath also enhances the body’s inner balance. A shower cleanses, and then an energizing massage follows to invigorate the senses. A refreshment is offered at the end of the treatment.

Elemis Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow (45 minutes): THB3,300 (US$85–$95)
An exotic exfoliation ritual to invigorate and revitalize the body. A luxurious treatment to leave the skin feeling deeply cleansed, replenished, and softened to perfection.

Black Glutinous Rice Scrub (60 minutes): THB2,300 (US$55–$65)
Rice bran oil and oryza extract are found in ground organic black glutinous sticky rice, known for being rich in vitamin B. All elements combine to soften and smooth skin texture. This treatment removes dead skin cells, and boosts natural fragrances from the rice produce relaxation. The treatment begins with a foot ritual massage, followed by the scrub, a cleansing shower, and then body lotion to soften the skin. Refreshments are served at the completion of the treatment.

Mocha Java Body Mask (60 minutes): THB3,000 (US$75–$85)
Beneficial for the skin, caffeine and coffee extracts combine to form a strong vasodilator that stimulates cellular micro-circulation by reducing puffiness. The treatment can also help to reduce cellulite between connective tissues by stimulating fat degradation, or burning. A foot ritual, salt scrub, and then the mask begin the treatment, which concludes with a shower and refreshments.

This gentle exfoliating scrub of lavender, orange, and natural ginger uses super-fine granules of walnut to slough off dead skin cells, and rejuvenate skin appearance and texture. Commencing with a foot ritual, then body polish, the treatment is completed with a shower, body lotion, and refreshments.

A face and eye treatment to slow down signs of premature aging, and reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Powerful anti-aging ingredients, combined with specialized lifting massage techniques, give skin a more youthful appearance, with noticeable effects after just one treatment.

Chum Chun Quenching Organic Facial Spa (90 minutes): THB3,000 (US$75–$85)
A quenching organic facial for normal to dry skin, using green tea and bamboo shoot extract to heal dull, congested complexions, and hydrate thirsty skin. With exfoliating properties of papaya and tamarind extracts, and cleansing, pure fossilized seaweed. Includes a Royal Thai massage, inspired by Ayurvedic healing principles, that induces a deep sleep by massaging marma points. A natural toning and tightening mask completes the treatment. This organic facial treatment leaves skin deeply cleansed.

The concierge may be able to arrange for guests to attend the nearby golf driving range, located in Sukhumvit Soi 26, and Bangkok's 18-hole Muang Kaew Golf Course within 10 km (6 miles). Instructions: Taxi stands are located outside baggage claim at arrivals. The metered taxis have a sign "Taxi Meter" on their roofs. Guests should tell the driver to travel the Express tollway to the city, exit on South Ploenchit offramp and turn right onto Ploenchit Road. The taxi should then move to the far left lane, and turn left onto Wireless Road. Proceeding along Wireless (Witthayu) Road, the taxi should turn left into the hotel drive.

Utage - Serving authentic Japanese fare in a formal Japanese Tatami-style setting, with low tables, and cushioned seats on the floor. Open for lunch and dinner daily.

Smooth Curry - Open for lunch Monday−Saturday, and dinner daily; the cuisine is Thai, in a setting that reflects Thai design influences, along with solid dark timber furnishings.

Rain Tree Cafe - With polished floors, Asian-influenced décor, and a contemporary setting, the menu is international, with 24-hour service.

The Reflexions - Offering French cuisine in a casual dining atmosphere, lunch is served Monday−Saturday, and dinner daily till late. Light entertainment is provided in open surroundings.
