Rydges Auckland comprises 188 guestrooms across floors three to 14 of the hotel. In September 2007, a NZ$2.6 million upgrade delivered refurbished guestrooms with new bedding, furniture, soft furnishings, and carpets. Standard features include: flat screen TVs and well-lit, slim-line ergonomic desks. Ensuites feature combined baths/showers. The complimentary toiletry selection is exclusive to the Rydges Group and features products from the Harakeke Flax collection derived from the New Zealand lily of the same name. Windows open slightly (approximately 10 cm).

The 14-storey Rydges Auckland is located just two blocks from Queen Street in the centre of the central business district. Several function spaces are on site in addition to an Internet kiosk with high-speed Internet access. Wireless Internet access is also accessible across all public areas. A restaurant and bar open seven days per week, and room service is available 24 hours per day. Guests have complimentary use of the Auckland Tepid Baths which are two blocks away, where there are expansive swimming and gym facilities. A cash-out facility is available at reception (maximum NZ$100/AUS$90 per day).

Conference/function rooms: The Rydges Auckland has a dedicated function/conference floor with up to four function spaces available. The mezzanine lounge is also suitable for break-out gatherings, product launches, and pre/post function drinks. The largest room (Kingston) at 225 square metres accommodates up to 300 guests for cocktails or theatre-style. This space can also be divided into two sound-proofed rooms. The Balmoral and Grange Boardrooms (each 24 square metres) hold up to 12 guests for meetings.

Instructions: There is a taxi queue a short distance from the airport arrivals area. Guests should inform the taxi driver that the hotel is located on the corner of Federal and Kingston streets (with the taxi pull-in bay on Federal Street).

Driving directions from Auckland Airport (AKL): Follow the George Bolt Memorial Drive onto the motorway and head towards the city. Take the Hillsborough turn-off and turn right onto Manukau Road. Continue until Newmarket. At the lights, turn left and drive to the end of the street. Turn right at the lights into Gillies Avenue and back onto the Southern Motorway. Travel north and turn left at the Wellesley Street off ramp (exit). Then turn right onto Federal Street. The hotel is on the corner of Kingston Street.
