Hotel Information: Opened in 2006, this downtown Atlanta boutique hotel is a chic alternative for businesspeople seeking an out-of-the-ordinary experience. It’s also popular for couples getaways. Celebrity guests have included Denzel Washington, Nikki Hilton, Janet Jackson, and rapper/producer Jermaine Dupri. A see-and-be-seen lounge flows into the lobby. “Talking” elevators whisk guests to their rooms.
Amenity highlights: The casually chic kitchen, 30 Tables, offers a Southern-influenced, modern small plates menu created by Chef Daniel Chances. The menu features seasonal ingredients, simply prepared for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Located on the roof of the Glenn Hotel is 11 Stories, offering guests panoramic city views. The chef's herb garden adds some green to the urban landscape.
Insider tip: The Georgia Aquarium, billed as the largest in the world, offers behind-the-scenes tours daily at noon for visitors ages 10 through adult. Tours cost $50 (subject to change), in addition to the regular admission fee. Reservations are available through the aquarium’s Web site, by phone, or at the aquarium on the day of visit. The aquarium is five blocks from the hotel.
Rooms
This 10-story hotel has 117 guestrooms, all with complimentary wireless and wired high-speed Internet access. Beds feature thick, air-infused mattresses; 350-thread-count sheets; and synthetic-down comforters. Flat-screen LCD TVs offer complimentary HBO, Showtime, and Turner Classic Movies. Desks come with Herman Miller Aeron chairs. Toy stuffed lions are perched on beds and available for purchase. Full-length bedside “peek-a-boo” windows look into glass-enclosed shower stalls.
Bathrooms feature British Gilchrist & Soames toiletries, bathrobes, granite countertops, and shower stalls with rainfall showerheads (no tubs except in rooms for guests with disabilities).

A “dancing waters” fountain show is presented four times daily at the Fountain of Rings. The park’s outdoor ice-skating rink is open mid-November through early January.
