Location Details
Location details: One of the main islands in the Cook Island cluster, Aitutaki is a 45-minute flight north of Rarotonga. There are no direct international flights to the island.
Getting there: Book a flight to Rarotonga’s Avarua Airport (RAR-Avarua) and a second flight from Avarua Airport to Aitutaki Domestic Airport (AIT). The resort provides complimentary airport transportation from Aitutaki Domestic Airport. Car rentals are also available online.
Flight time from Rarotonga to Aitutaki: 40 minutes
Flight schedule: Five daily flights Monday–Saturday.
Approximate cost: AU $90–150 for round-trip flights from Rarotonga to Aitutaki.

Aitutaki Domestic Airport (AIT): Approximate driving time is 15 minutes and distance is 4 km (2.5 miles).

Rapae Bay Restaurant - The restaurant specializes in grilled meats, teriyaki, Kahlua pork, seafood, and tropical fruits and vegetables. The restaurant also is the setting for Island Night, Polynesian feasts held on Friday nights. The restaurant is ideally located for watching sunsets over the Pacific Ocean. The restaurant serves breakfast (including tropical Island Breakfast), lunch, and dinner. Black Rock Cafe - The café offers beachside and pool deck service, serving lunch and dinner from the Rapae Bay Restaurant menu. |
