Calling all water lovers! Explore the aquatic side of the Mindo Cloudforest as you swim through waterfalls, ride down the Mindo River on an inner tube, and then relax in a warm Jacuzzi surrounded by local flora and fauna.

Mirador Rio Blanco
Your first stop offers a breathtaking view of the Mindo River, along with tucans, tanagers, and hummingbirds. There will be time for a short break before heading out into the cloudforest.

Mindo Valley and the Waterfall Sanctuary
As you cross the valley in a hanging metal basket, be sure to take in the views of the surrounding forest. This is an amazing way to get from one side of the valley to the other (approx. 1,739 feet/530 m.). Once in the Waterfall Sanctuary, your guide will take you to three waterfalls—and you’ll have a chance to swim through all three.

Mariposas de Mindo and lunch
Take time to relax at the Mariposas de Mindo, a butterfly breeding farm that is home to over 25 species of butterflies. You’ll be amazed as they flutter around you in search of food. Pupas hatch almost every day, so keep an eye out as you wander about. Lunch is served in this unique setting.

Mindo River adventure
After visiting the butterfly farm, enjoy an easy hike to the Mindo River. Along the way, you’ll see some of the exotic flora and fauna that are unique to this area. A lively romp down the Mindo River in inner tubes is sure to give you a different view of your stunning surroundings. Your tubing adventure ends with a relaxing soak in a warm Jacuzzi. Then it’s time for the 2-hour drive back to Quito.
