Traditionally, New Zealand history is told through carved and woven artifacts, ancient Maori arts and crafts that recount ancestral stories and genealogy. According to tribal history, the Te Puia area in the Whakarewarewa Valley is also a natural wonder, with spewing geysers, bubbling mud pools, and hissing hot springs. Native birds such as the kiwi, New Zealand’s national icon, are essential to the delicate ecological system that includes more than 500 varieties of flora and fauna.

Also on the itinerary are a stop at the Agrodome, and a visit to Rainbow Springs Nature Park, a tranquil paradise lush with flowers, cooled and nourished by subterranean springs and dotted with deep crystal pools.
